Kaelyn Humphreys graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors of Science in Music Education and a minor in English Literature from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She was an active member in the school’s community—a Board of Governors Scholar and a representative for the Fine Arts College in the school Senate. She instructed flute lessons and performed with multiple instrumental and vocal ensembles, small group ensembles, and local churches.
Kaelyn performed with the National Festival Orchestra in Carnegie Hall under Benjamin Zander in 2005 as principal flute. She went on to earn a Master of Education with a focus in Arts in Education from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education. While in Cambridge, Kaelyn performed with the M.I.T. Wind Ensemble and participated in the coordination of the Arts in Education Annual Cabaret.
Soon after relocating to Georgia, Kaelyn taught music in the public school system and went on to become the Assistant Director of Education for a tutoring facility. In 2008 Kaelyn joined the faculty of the FRC Conservatory to provide musical instruction. During her time with the conservatory she taught over 10,000 lessons and founded the North Atlanta Piano Festival. In August of 2016, Kaelyn opened the doors to the Humphreys Learning Studio in Alpharetta, GA where she merrily instructs many evenings of the week! In 2018 Kaelyn became a Steinway Educational Partner, and in 2021 she was awarded and recognized as a 2021 & 2022 Top Piano Teacher by Steinway & Sons / Steinway Piano Galleries Atlanta.
