Winter Recital

It’s over 100º outside, but that won’t stop us from planning for cold weather fun!  If you turn down your thermostat very low, you just might start dreaming of frosted window panes, smelling gingerbread baking, and hearing the chimes of a far off bell…

…wait…that might be the school bell!  Hey!

That’s right–school is almost in session, which means lessons are right around the corner.  Some of you have just under 4 weeks until the hustle and bustle start up.  Well, while we enjoy the last of our popsicles and poolside naps I’m here to let you know that we have recital dates!  That’s right!  Our Winter Recital is on the books!

This year’s recitals will be held at the Steinway Gallery in Alpharetta on North Point Parkway.

We are booked for TWO evenings the week before Christmas (which should add a big heaping spoonful of jolly to all of the holiday festivities!)  You will have the opportunity to pick a performance evening–Tuesday, December 20th -or- Thursday, December 22nd.  With the use of Steinway’s performance space we will also have the opportunity to play on one of their grand pianos!

These events will be smaller than our previous Winter Recital gatherings (20-25 performers and 60-ish attendees for each night.)  I’m hoping that it will be a great experience for everyone!  (You’ll have to let me know.)  Our use of the hall is scheduled from 5-7pm.  More details will be provided as we near the dates.

I can tell you that though there will be no refreshments allowed on site, (something about fine pianos and food not mixing well) we will have ample opportunity to celebrate all month long with treats and things at the studio…including the beloved cream puffs!
